1st Annual Taste of Mauna Lani Restaurant Month

Begins Monday, September 6

Kohala Coast, Hawaii’s Big Island, September 2, 2010 - Mauna Lani Resort introduces the first annual "Taste of Mauna Lani Restaurant Month". The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii, The Shops at Mauna Lani and Huli Sue's have partnered together to offer a variety of tantalizing, affordable menu selections during the month of September. Participating restaurants include Brown's Beach House, Hale Kai Restaurant and Norio's Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar at The Fairmont Orchid, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Tommy Bahama and Monstera at The Shops at Mauna Lani, and Huli Sue's Restaurant located at the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Course. A prix fixe two course lunch will be offered at all locations open for lunch (including Hale Kai Restaurant, Monstera, Tommy Bahama and Huli Sue's) for only $17 and a three course prix fixe dinner will be offered for just $35 (Brown's Beach House prix fixe will be offered for $45).

"This is a wonderful opportunity for kamaaina and visitors alike to be able to experience the delicious offerings of world class restaurants at an attractive price" explains Debbie Parmley, Vice President of The Shops at Mauna Lani. "It is our hope that Taste of Mauna Lani Restaurant Month becomes an annual event, providing an opportunity for diners to experience restaurants that they may not normally frequent." Each guest purchasing a "Taste of Mauna Lani" lunch or dinner will receive a FREE 4-D Movie Ride card. There is an additional incentive as well, when guests dine at three or more participating restaurants during the month, they will be entered to win prizes such as a two night stay including breakfast at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii; Golf for two at Mauna Lani Resort Golf Course; Ruth's Chris Steak House Sizzling Prime Time Dinner for 2, and more.

The Taste of Mauna Lani Restaurant Month begins on Monday, September 6 and will run through Thursday, September 30.
