Kohala Coast, Hawaii’s Big Island - The Shops at Mauna Lani "Holiday Family Fun" starts Wednesday, December 1 st and continues throughout the month of December with a CASH GIVE-A-WAY; First Friday Concert Christmas melodies by Ekolu Mea Nui; Luau with Santa; entertainment by Na Kapuna O Kona Ali`i and Bruddah Smitty; and a Tommy Bahama New Year's Party Hawaiian Style. Plus an opportunity to donate to Rock 'n Roll Motorcycle Club Toys for Tots and Hawaii Island Food Basket. Even a Toys for Tots Christmas tree to bring joy to a child this holiday season.
Garland, wreaths, trees and lights are all a part of this holiday season at The Shops at Mauna Lani. "The MUST SEE for the entire family are the Hawaiian details that make these traditional holiday décor special to our culture and way of life. The Shops at Mauna Lani is glimmering Hawaiian style and those perfect photo opportunities are throughout the shopping center" says Vice President, Debbie Parmley.
From December 1st through 20th there will be a Menehune Cash Prize Give-A-Way. Each day The Shops at Mauna Lani Menehune will be in a different store or restaurant. Come find the location of the Menehune as many days as fits your schedule, get an entry form from any store or restaurant at The Shops at Mauna Lani and win CASH. That's right CASH! The person locating the Menehune the most number of days will win $250 CASH, second place wins $150 CASH and third place $100 CASH. Winners will be announced Tuesday, December 21st just in time to finish that Holiday shopping. Also, Kama`aina Keiki 10 and under can enjoy Sea Monsters, Portal or Alien Safari 4D Movie Rides FREE from December 1 through 20th. The 4D Theater is a safe and fun way for the kids to spend time while you search for that special gift.

- December 3rd (6 to 8 pm) First Friday Concert with Ekolu Mea Nui. Kevin, Kunia and Sonny will be playing their traditional and contemporary Hawaiian favorites with the addition of those Holiday Hawaiian favorites to enjoy while you shop, dine and find that Menehune.
- December 11th (11:30 am to 3 pm) bring Tutu and the Moopuna, to the Luau with Santa! With 6 canned goods or a new unwrapped toy (or cash if you prefer) you will receive a very Hawaiian lunch of luau food provided by Foodland Farms, Monstera, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar. While enjoying this great food you can enjoy the West Hawaii Dance Academy, The Great Barusky Magic Show and hula by Na Lehua E Liko No Kawailani. Center stage is where the fun will take place with Santa mingling through the crowd to hear those special requests for his list. Come enjoy the Hawaiian culture, support both the Rock 'n Roll Motorcycle Club Toys for Tots and Hawaii Island Food Basket. All monies collected will be divided equally between the two charities. (luau limited to the first 100 persons so get there early)
- December 17th (5:30 to 7:30 pm) Na Kupuna O Kona Ali`i; Aunty Lani Lee and the Kupuna of Kona will bring Holiday cheer through their hula and music to all that attend.
- December 23rd (5:30 to 7:30 pm) Bruddah Smitty will bring his Hawaiian melodies and Holiday cheer center stage to entertain those last minute shoppers.
- December 31st (9:00 pm to midnight) Ring in the New Year with Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar. There are two reservation times available, an early seating from 4 pm to 6:30 pm with the regular menu along with some Special’s created by Chef Scott Lutey. Available in the later 6:30 pm seating will be an all special Chef’s New Year’s menu. Also available in the later seating will be a special VIP seating. The VIP seating, is an all inclusive package and is $175 per person plus tax and gratuity. The package includes a four course meal, free flowing sparkling wine and New Year’s party favors. The men will receive a special New Year’s Edition camp shirt valued at $138 down in the retail store and the women will get a Tommy Bahama tote bag and scarf.
